Please find attached the first image from The CW’s new pilot Arrow, starring Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen and Arrow.

After being marooned for five years on a remote island, former billionaire playboy Oliver Queen returns with a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime.

Arrow’s suit was designed by three-time Oscar(R)-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood.

Arrow pilot director/executive producer David Nutter said: “When I directed the pilot for Smallville, I knew that making Clark Kent relatable would be the key to audiences believing in him as a hero. ARROW is a different show – darker and harder-edged – but it’s the same core idea. We’re creating a real, believable world in which Oliver Queen can do incredible things. Colleen Atwood’s great work on the Arrow costume reflects that effort.”

Arrow is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and David Nutter, who is directing, from a teleplay by Kreisberg & Guggenheim, story by Berlanti & Guggenheim. Melissa Kellner Berman is co-executive producer.

ARROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television and is based upon characters appearing in comic books and graphic novels published by DC Comics.

Good news for current Grimm fans and those afraid to become fans, fearing the show will be cancelled: NBC”s sole freshman bright spot, the dark fantasy dramedy Grimm, will be back for a second season, according to a report at Deadline.com.

The show which already has an 18-episode order for this year as an additional 22 episodes coming for its second season., the report said.

The series stars David Giuntoli as a homicide detective Nick Burkhardt who is presumedly the last in the bloodline of the Grimm family, which aside from writing fairy tales, has a long history of hunting supernatural monsters.

It was created by David Greenwalt (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Eureka) , Jim Kouf (Angel, Ghost Whisperer) and Stephen Carpenter (Soul Survivors). And given that pedigree, the show has a very Angel flavor in is quirky attitude, humor and zippy dialog.

The NBC pilot, Revolution, is a an intriguing post apocalypse science fiction drama where survivors try to adapt to a world devastated when all forms of fuel-produced energy ceases to exist. It’s the newest project by the two-man team of JJ Abrams and Bryan Burk (Lost, Fringe, Star Trek, Person of Interest, Alcatraz) and new partner, Eric Kripke (Supernatural).

Similar to the 2004 S.M. Stirling novel, Dies the Fire, where for some mysterious reason the laws of physics changes and no modern power sources work is being produced by Warner Brothers and directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Cowboys & Aliens).

Casting directors have pulled a mix of veteran actors and relative newcomers to fill out the cast of characters, who are struggling to reunite with one another after all artificial transportation suddenly stops working.

Perhaps the most familiar face in the crowded cast is actor Billy Burke, best known to movie goers as Charlie Swan, the near-silent father of Bella in the Twilight films.

Current Cast:

Andrea Roth (Ringer, Rescue Me) as Rachel Matheson

Anna Lise Phillips (Terra Nova, Farscape) as Maggie

Billy Burke (The Twilight Saga, Red Riding Hood) as Bass (?)
